So far 10 gibbons have been rescued from being kept in terrible conditions as pets, the more money we raise the more of these critically endangered animals can be rescued. In other news, this morning I managed to run further than I ever have before. I am now tired.

Shiny new running shoes have given me massive blisters, not quite what I planned when I bought them!

I, along with 3 others from Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Parks, am running a 10k race in Ashford on October 14th. The aim here is to raise money specifically for the Javan Primates Project which is run by the Aspinall Foundation charity. This project aims to rescue Javan gibbons and Langurs that have been kept in horrible conditions in Java as pets and bring them back to health at their centre where they are rehabilitated with the aim of being released back into the wild.

Just to let everyone know I am/have been training quite hard for this race and really don't particularly enjoy running so anything you can spare to give me some extra motivation for this would be very much appreciated!
