My story
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page.
Wow - we've done it - 1008 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats in 11 1/4 days! Only 2 punctures, and only one afternoon of rain, but head winds most of the way and some amazingly long, steep hills! More details and photos on http://sites.google.com/site/lejogbikeride2010
We've also beaten our fundraising target! But there's still time to add to the total before the site comes down on October 31st.
Our charity is Park House, the only Leonard Cheshire Disability hotel in the country, in memory of my dad, who used to stay there after he was paralysed and wheelchair bound in a car accident.
l now work there once or twice a week as a volunteer, taking guests and their carers out on afternoon trips. Park House desperately need a new minibus, and every penny you donate will go directly towards this appeal; there will be no deductions to cover Head Office admin or overheads. And for UK tax payers, JustGiving add an extra £28.20 for each £100 donated, via Gift Aid plus supplements.
So please give generously - this was a tough ride for us and it's a very worthwhile cause!
