Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For all of you who knew my mum you will know how much her family meant to her and how much she meant to us. When she first became ill she told us she would be going to ’s Hospice. She used her confidence in ’s Hospice as a way of comforting us. I think she was looking forward to going there as she knew she would be well looked after and that her family would be supported. ’s helped us all through a very difficult time for which we are all eternally grateful. I would like your help in ensuring ’s can help other people like my mum. ’s relies heavily on donations. They need to raise £16,000 every day. Any money we can donate will go to providing vital support for patients, their families and friends.
On the 30 July I will be racing in the Alpe D’Huez Triathlon in memory of my mum. The Alpe D’Huez is the most iconic mountain climb in the Tour De France. The cycle route consists of 21 switchbacks covering a distance of 30km and an elevation of 3,350 feet. (see one of the pictures above) The triathlon also includes a 1200m swim across the lake at the base of the mountain as a warm up and finishes you off with a 7km run to the summit.
I have booked the race independently so all the money raised will go to ’s Hospice.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks Phil
