Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm doing this because I stupidly said yes when, after a couple of beers, Kieren Eyles asked me if I'd be interested in doing a charity bike ride for PC Project; the details came a bit later!
I ride fairly regularly, but never this sort of distance, so it's unknown territory and a bit scary - 100 miles every day for 5 days.
PC (Pachyonychia Congenita) is an inherited skin disorder where the keratin protein in the skin is weak, the skin blisters easily and develops calluses, which for reasons no-one understands can be very painful and makes walking excruciating.
I've got a relatively mild version of PC and so has my son Chris. For most people with PC, although it's not a life threatener, it is a life changer for the worse, meaning pretty constant pain and significant restriction on what they can do.
The charity is a good one, funding ground breaking research both into the genetic mutations behind PC and potential treatments, as well as supporting people with PC.

I'd be very grateful if you would support me in trying to raise lots of money for PC Project.
In case you're wondering, the donation is to PC Project UK, but it is processed through the University of Dundee, as PC Project saves money by using the University's charitable status.
