My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Ok folks this is the BIG ONE! I’ve done marathon’s, triathlons and I even finished an IRONMAN! So many people ask me what next … well read on and you are about to find out…

Next April I will be travelling to Morocco along with a good friend and will be attempting to finish the ‘toughest footrace in the world’ – known as the Marathon Des Sables! This ultra-marathon consists of 6 marathons in 5 days across a ‘little sandy beach’ known as the Sahara Dessert. Not only is the setting one of the hottest places on earth, where temperatures reach 40+ degrees, we also have to carry our own food and supplies for the week to get to the finish line. They say pictures speak a thousand words – follow this video link which will show you the enormity of what I’m about to take on. #mce_temp_url#

As some of you may already know my mum was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and is currently receiving treatment. My aim is to raise as much money for Macmillan Cancer Support as I can, to offer a little bit of help to her and the many others and their families who suffer from and the affects of this terrible illness.

Any donation would be wonderful and I would like to say ‘thank you’ in advance.
