The John Muir Trust is a UK-wide membership based conservation charity dedicated to wild places and the people who enjoy them and live around them. We work with others to repair and rewild damaged ecosystems and encourage people to experience wildness at first hand. www.johnmuirtrust.org

Story

My brother-in-law Richard & I rashly agreed to walk from the English Channel to the Bristol Channel (about 50 miles) in August.   Originally this was just for fun, but we decided to try to raise a little money for charity at the same time.

John Muir was a Scottish-born pioneer of the US environmental movement.  The John Muir Trust celebrates his memory by conserving wilderness areas and helping people to enjoy them.  I'm particularly keen to support the JMT's work in the Sandwood Estate (see photo).  Any donation you feel able to make would be very much appreciated.

WE'VE NOW DONE THE WALK, BUT DONATIONS ARE STILL WELCOME!

Thanks     Mitch
