Working Families is the leading UK charity dedicated to building a future where everyone has the opportunity to find a balance between work and family life. We do this through our free legal advice line, our employer support and training services and our highly effective campaigning and research.

Story

Working Families is a charity which helps children, working parents and carers and their employers find a better balance between responsibilities at home and work. It takes a holistic approach to the problem and not only operates a very busy helpline for those in need of advice but also works hard to shape and influence Government policy. Helping staff to balance their work and home lives can be crucial to the employee but it also helps the employer in attracting and retaining staff and can increase productivity.

The campaigns launched by Working Families over the last 35 years have been driven by a belief that flexible and fair working arrangements are in everyone's best interests.

Of course running a charity, even a tiny one blessed with dedicated staff, costs money and because we are in such straightened times, I urge you to make a donation to allow it to function so effectively.

Every day our Helplines hears more horror stories about employers not understanding, and perhaps not caring about the plight of their staff, particularly the low-paid ones, who sometimes have more than one job to make ends meet and yet are trying to bring up a family with all the pressures and strains that that brings.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you!

Philip
