Story

THANKS TO ALL THE GENEROSITY, IVE REVISED MY TARGET FROM £333 TO £500!

Well, last year I set myself a target of raising a boat load of cash for charity before I turn 40 (less than 5 years away now!). After Movember last year (for those that remember my pathetic moustache!) this is my second attempt at hitting that accumulative £5,000 target.

I havent ridden a bike in anger... ever! I have taken a few rides up and down the rather sedate Greenway in Stratford, and topped out at about 10 miles, so although the 100km (62 miles) Im attempting wont seem like much to many of you, its a bit of a stretch for me, especially without any pub stops on the way! Im sure I will make it with a few more challenging training rides between now and then.

Im rasing money for a local charity - The Shakespeare Hospice - who I also volunter for in my spare time.

"The Shakespeare Hospice is an independent local charity providing specialist End of Life and supportive care for people living in South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds who are affected by life-limiting illness. The majority of our patients are living with cancer, but we also help patients with other life-limiting illnesses such as degenerative neurological diseases, end-stage heart failure and HIVAIDS. Our nursing care and multi-disciplinary support enables patients to continue living at home with their families while receiving active treatment, or for as long as possible when active treatment has ceased."

Its a great cause and very worthy of a few of your hard earned pounds, so please give as generously as you can.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
