Sarah's Secret Smiley

Sarah's Secret Smiley · 15 March 2013
As quite a few of you know my Sister-in-Law, Sarah Hennessey, is eight years in to a helluva fight with the big C. Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and to date has had a whole tonne of chemo, radiotherapy and has had a mastectomy and extensive breast reconstruction. Sarah still works full time teaching a whole class of reception kids and then comes home and is a fabulous and energetic Auntie to my son, Bob.
I think Sarah needs celebrating, and it would be fabulous to raise a tonne of money for MacMillan Nurses into the bargain so, HERE IS THE IDEA:
Sarah has very little feeling in her new breast and had pledged to get a secret smiley face tattoo on her breast to show solidarity for those suffering with ALL cancers who are experiencing pain on a regular basis.
There is more!! Other people, anybody....YOU.... can also show solidarity with people like Sarah (especially those experiencing the pain of surgery) and get a secret smiley tattoo as well!
Of course, raising money is the final objective, but the idea is to celebrate Sarah and her ability to smile and inspire others through all of this!
To date there are Six of us (two in the USA!) willing to get a secret smiley tattoo and many others willing to sponsor us. There is even people helping to sort out the sale of temporary smiley tattoos so we can all get involved and raise as much money as possible.
I will update this page with photo's sent in of our secret smileys (as long as they're not anywhere too embarrasing!)
Please give as generously as you can
