Story

During's Jen's training for the Marathon in 2011, common remarks from Phili freqently included: "I would never run a marathon", "I don't like running" and "I can't run long distance anyway".

Fast forward to Marathon Day itself and these sentiments had changed somewhat. This became evident as Jen reached mile 22, cue Phili bursting into uncontrollable tears of "pride", although post-race analysis revealed that these tears were more a reaction to seeing her sister, in Phili's own words, "looking like she was about to die".

A few weeks later, Phili had entered herself into her first half marathon and had entered us both into the London Marathon 2012 ballot.

Hopefully our attempts to make this something of an inspirational story has encouraged you to donate some money towards our cause. We are fundraising for the Philip Green Memorial Trust, a charity which helps sick and disabled children all over the UK and overseas. It supports welfare, medical and educational projects as well as helping individual children to lead a normal life.

Thank you,
