Story
Post-run report:
I completed half marathon in a personal best time of 2hrs 15, an improvement of nearly 5 mins on my last run. As an added bonus my recovery from the run has been less painful than when I first started doing these half marathons a year ago!
Thanks again to all of you whom have donated to this webpage, it is very much appreciated.
I plan to do another half marathon in May - just for fun this time - and yet another in October, the latter for charity again.
Thanks,
Phil
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
About 15 years ago now, a fellow fencer - Chris Readings - whom was also my brother's best friend, lost his battle against a rare form of leukemia and sadly died. He was just 12 years old. I am running in the Reading half marathon on 21 March 2010 and would appreciate any donations towards my chosen charity, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.Donations (large or small) would be really appreciated, whatever you can spare it does not matter as it all counts and will go towards the worthy efforts of my chosen charity in finding more effective treatments.
I shall update this page following completion of the Reading half marathon to let you all know how I got on. My personal best time is 2hrs 19 which I shall of course aim to beat!
Thank you for your support.
