Nigel Wright, the company I work for, has
been organizing a charity walk for some years now. Since the beginning we have been very successful in raising a remarkable amount of money for cancer research. 

I participated last year already and signed up for the challenge again this year. The task is to master "The Three Peaks" which basically is a walk in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in England across 3 hills: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. This circular route covers 24 miles (38,6 km) and includes 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent. The event is not only about the physical challenge but mostly about raising money for cancer research. I am especially motivated to raise money for this cause, as I have experienced some incidents with this evil illness within my family and have family members still struggling to survive it.
