I never thought I would join the Mamils but here I am decked out in the latest XXL gear. I bought a light bike before I realised I should not have bothered - the heaviest thing on it was me.
So I do need your help! Can you please donate what you can, be it little or large, to this great cause and keep me cycling because I am certain 75 miles a day for three days will test my mettle, as well as my knees, back, arms, legs and bum.
I am determined to finish this ride as I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the folks involved in the Hope Centre and they deserve our support.
They work to relieve poverty and tackle the causes of homelessness by giving people a hand up not a hand out. Recognising that if you continually provide hand-outs there is no incentive to become self sufficient their work is focused on helping others to help themselves, providing support and services that will enable individuals to take back control of their own lives.
