Story
Ahoy! It's us again!
Team Tiger (Phylli Trevor and Lucy) are unbelievably happy and amazed to tell you that we all made it round for the 100 mile road ride starting and ending in Cambridge, on Sunday. It was a real toughie with high winds on the nose or abeam for the entire run. But...we had amazing support from Jeremy, Helen and Daniel all the way with food, support and encouragement. We couldn't have done it without them.
We have been and still are raising funds for The Prostate Cancer Research Centre. Lucy and I both have brothers with this illness, which also recently claimed our dear friend Mike. Mike's strength of character and his great heart gave the inspiration for the trip, from the first idea to actually helping us get round. It was 'something else', with those winds blowing against us most of the way!
Prostate cancer is easily managed if detected early. But it's a sneaky beast and more research is needed to enable this, as well as treat it once it takes hold. If you know anyone affected by this disease you will be aware of its potentially devastating consequences.
Thank you sincerely to everyone who helped supported and encouraged us. It made 150% difference. This page will stay open so there is still plenty of time to forward the link if you know someone who might wish to support.
