When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

In just under a month I'll be undertaking The Yorkshire Three Peaks, which is a major endurance challenge - it's a 24-mile hike including 5,200ft/1,585m of ascent, and we're aiming to complete it in just 12 hours. I'm expecting it to be pretty tough. My colleagues and I are walking in aid of Stroke Association, a UK charity supporting and rehabilitating stroke survivors to make life after stroke a reality.

The Peaks we are climbing are:

Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres)

Whernside (736 metres)

Ingleborough (723 metres)

If you'd like to make a donation, big or small, it would be greatly received! x
