Story
Hello Everyone,
Time to update you all. I am proud to report that I did make it across that finish line!
I even have a medal and some giant blisters to prove it!
That being said, it was a great experience. The support of the crowds was incredible.
I was also pleased that someone had thought to tell me to put my name on my running shirt, it provided quite a boost to have people calling out personal encouragement !
The first half of the race seemed to go by quite comfortably, whilst enjoying the camaraderie and party atmosphere. Met loads of nice people and interesting characters, including a lady called Val, and we ended up completing the majority of the course together, spurring each other on even when we were reduced to walking pace. So thanks Val that finish line would have seemed even further without your support!
I seem to be on target to raise around £1000 for Demelza House, which is far more than I ever imagined. So thanks again for all the support I have received, which has made achieving a longstanding ambition a reality.
Best wishes Pip
