Wood Street Mission is a Manchester children's charity which helps children and families living in poverty in Manchester & Salford. We provide practical help to help meet children’s day-to-day needs and improve their life chances. More than 1 in 3 children in Manchester is living in poverty.

Story

As part of Place North West’s first annual Place Party, we are raising money for two great regional charities: The Whitechapel Centre and Wood Street Mission.

Donate £5 or whatever you wish to one of the charities and get any song of your choice - we won’t judge - played on the night, and you'll also be in with a chance to win a prize draw, including dinner at Albert Square Chop House, Stereophonics tickets, cocktails & shisha at Scene Indian Street Kitchen, £100 gift voucher for Tate Shop online, a full-day pampering package at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar, and a £50 lunch at The Architect in Chester.

Just name your song in the message box when you donate. Even if you’re not coming to the party, you can enjoy knowing your money’s going to help local people in need and that people will be pulling shapes (or cringing?) to your song, and if you choose to leave your name and company, you will also feature in our programme.

Place North West will match the donations, doubling the amount raised for Wood Street Mission and Whitechapel Centre.
