Story
............ To all my wonderful, friends, family, colleagues and the rest of you who were just daft enough to give me your email address..........
Please don’t send me a Christmas card this year, INSTEAD I am asking if you would please make a donation to Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland. If you are a tax payer your donation will mean even more if you tick the gift aid box.
Remember you too can join in the ‘Please Don’t Send Me A Christmas Card’ campaign by forwarding the email I sent you onto your friends, family and colleagues. The more people that are willing to participate the better!
Thanks so much guys.....this poem is especially for you (scroll down)........
Please don’t send me a Christmas Card
I’d rather have your money
I know that sounds so cheeky
But I’m not trying to be funny.....
You see, I know of a charity
Who could be doing with a hand
So I came up with this idea
I just hope you understand
Instead of buying and writing a card
and scrambling for a stamp
I was kinda hoping
to save you writers cramp
If you click on the link below
and donate a quid or two
You’d be really helping Cruse out
and I’d think a lot of you
Although I like to get your cards
...afterall, we all love post
I’d rather you remembered my charity
Because they need it most
Thanks for hanging in there
and reading all my rhyme
I wish you a Happy New Year
and a wonderful Christmastime
NOW ENOUGH OF THE RHYME, ITS DONATION TIME........
