We support young people around the world to confront the planet's most urgent crises

Story

I just want to say a massive thank you to all off you for supporting us on our mission!!! It was a lot harder than we thought it would be. Without your support we wouldn't of made it!!!! You can read all about it and see the photographs by following the links posted on our wall and for those of you that feel we deserve the sponsorship once you have read how hard it was can still do so..... Thanks to all those who sponsored us our charities and all the team appreciate your support!!!!

I also want to thank the team because without their determination and encouragement, I’d still be sitting in the wilderness... Top Job everyone an experience I will never forget!!!!!

Introduction

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Please help!!!! We are about to embark on the most difficult challenge we have ever set ourselves and from the state of Polly’s feet at the moment we are going to need your support to make the finish!!!

On the 24th and 25th of April 2010 we set out on two grueling days of off piste ski touring from Val Thorens in the 3 valleys to Val d'Isere in the Espace Killy. This may sound like a lovely adventure to those that like off piste skiing, however it is mostly up hill and the snow conditions in spring are challengingly varied! We will cross two glaciers and the challenge involves everything from hiking, skinning, skiing and Ice climbing.

Why are we doing this? I here you ask, well in October 2010 Polly is heading out to India with Raleigh on a three month expedition to help with all their worthwhile and incredible charity projects, such as tiger and elephant conservation, building schools and putting much needed sanitary units in to rural homes. We need to raise a total of £1900. Raleigh's fundraising philosophy is to do something to push your boundaries while helping others and this is certainly going to push ours, so we would be very very grateful if you could give what you can. The current financial climate makes asking for donations all the more difficult, but every little counts and will help us finish the challenge and reach our fund raising goals, so a big advanced thank you to you all.

If you want to know more about all the fantastic work Raleigh does in India before you donate please follow the link below. For more about our trip, the route and training follow the blog link below or catch us on facebook.

A huge thank you to all of my friends who have been crazy enough to sign up to this, I could not do it without them, they are also raising funds for their own charities but without their contribution, guts and determination this would not be possible.
