Story
Thank you taking the time to read..
Rachel and Poppy are both students at the University of York and keen swimmers. Having both taken part in The Great North Swim, we are both keen push the limits of strength and stamina, and take on the Eton Swim. The swim itself is 10 kilometers - two laps of Eton Dorney, the rowing lake used in the 2012 Olympics. It's going to be gruelling - It's not known as the Marathon Swim for nothing!
We are going through this ordeal to raise money for Alice's Escapes, a wonderful charity which provides holidays for terminally ill children and their families, based in the Lake District.
We would hugely appreciate any donation you could spare, no matter how small!
Watch this space for updates on our training - the inevitable early mornings, chilly dips in the lake, and unspeakably sexy goggle-marks.
Thank you,
Rachel and Poppy
