Story

Thank you very much for visiting Poppy's page!

FEB 2010 UPDATE

Sarah (Poppy's godmother) is running in the Sussex Beacon half marathon on 21st February. There's been pain, there's been tears - but the day is nearly upon us. It's a bit cheeky to support an alternative charity to the ones suggested by the Sussex Beacon but this cause is much closer to our hearts! We hope that you will help support us - feel free to come on down and spectate if you fancy a giggle. P.S. Poppy is sitting this race out - maybe in a few years though eh... Thanks in advance for your generosity!

For those of you who have not visited this site before, this page is to raise money for the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. This is the neo natal intensive care and high dependency unit for Brighton and Sussex. Thanks to everyone who has already donated to the Unit through this page.

As you can see from our pictures, Poppy is a picture of good health at one year old and is a cheeky little bundle of joy. Unfortunately, she needed the services of the Trevor Mann Baby Unit when she arrived in Jan 2009 - and they were instrumental in getting her through a tough first few weeks and minimising any ongoing complications.

Luci, Jon and Poppy have stayed in touch with the Unit over the last year and Poppy's main doctor has promised to invest any money raised from this page in the equipment and treatments that helped Poppy when she was ill.

The page will be kept open so friends and family can use it as a fundraising tool. Special thanks to the following for donating offline: The Tester Family, Mike and Marielle, Janet and Graham, Pat and Pete, and Tim, Gwen and family.
