Story
We did it again! This time Newcastle wasn't raining and was actually quite warm! Another cousin joined in this year, the three year old! Jasper (6) and Ozias (3) did it dressed as superheroes! They looked great! Next year Phoebe's too old for the Junior run and is planning to do the BIG 13 miles!
Last year we did the Great North Run for the hospital ward which my sister Christabel was on when she had Leukaemia. Luckily she was treated very well and has been off treatment for three years.
BUT...
Last summer my Grandpa was diagnosed with Alzheimers. He has had a bad memory for a long time but only got diagnosed last summer. Recently he has been very ill, and has been in hospital since July. My Grandpa having Alzheimers has made me realize what a horrible disease it is and how great it would be to find a cure or be able to prevent it.
So this year I am running the Junior Great North Run AGAIN, but for Alzheimer's Society to help my Grandpa.
You were all so generous last time, so sorry to ask again, but any small donation would be great.
