Story
Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page. This year Prestige Nursing + Care has been working with Independent Age, one of the UK's leading charities giving advice and information to older people to help raise funds. At a time when there is so much change within the care industry, we feel it is critically important to help support charities that provide such support for older people on a range of important issues.
Prestige Nursing + Care are holding a national Action Day on 1 October 2014 in aid of their charity of the year, Independent Age, with an incredible fundraising target of £40,000! In the run up to 1st October and on the day, staff across 40 Prestige Nursing + Care branches are fundraising and taking part in events from pub quizzes to tea dances to bake sales, while celebrating International Day of Older Persons, with local communities around the country.
In Plymouth, we will be holding a series of events to meet our target. This will involve Pyjama days on Monday - come into the branch to see our lovely branch staff wearing their PJ's - we will be paying for the privilege too!
We will also have a swear box in place from the 2nd to the 26th September, charging £1 for every bad word! Not only will we be paying ourselves but anyone who steps foot into the office and swears - so watch out if you come to see us!
In line with the swear box we will be running a competition for people to guess the total amount which will end up in there. The answer will be revealed on 27th Sept and the lucky winner will be presented with a trio of wine!
And finally, on Saturday 27th September 1000-1500hrs we will be holding a 'Fun Day' in the office....including a 'bric-a-brac'/car boot sale, book sale, cake sale, face painting and raffle with amazing prices.....! Come in and buy your tickets today! Prizes include National marine Aquarium tickets, First Great Western train tickets, Oasis spa day for 2, Pennywell Farm tickets, Jump family pass, a facial, a cut and blow dry...and much much more! Tickets £1 each.
*When donating on here please state what you are donating for - whether it be just a donation or for raffle tickets, silencing Emma or the swearing competition.
