This year Prestige Nursing + Care has been working with Independent Age, one of the UK's leading charities giving advice and information to older people to help raise funds. At a time when there is so much change within the care industry, we feel it is critically important to help support charities that provide such support for older people on a range of important issues.

Prestige Nursing + Care are holding a national Action Day on 1 October 2014 in aid of their charity of the year, Independent Age, with an incredible fundraising target of £40,000 across 40 branches! 

It's the centennial year commemorating the end of WW1 and Prestige shares the prophetic date of 1945, which saw its creation and the ending of the World War in Europe!  Prestige Nursing + Care Worthing will be holding a series of fundraising activities related to that generation who lived through those times, on the 1^st of October.  Yours truly (Dan Lovett) will be dressed up in vintage attire for the day with 1940's style cakes to be brought and a tombola.  If you'd like to contribute to any fundraising activities on the day then suggestions will be warmly welcomed.  Potential ideas might include nominating your colleagues to sing rousing hits of the day from Glenn Miller and classics like 'We'll Meet Again' or maybe you'd like bring in food to sell which would have been seen at the numerous street parties celebrating the end of WW2.  We look forward to seeing you there!
