Adrenaline Rush 2016 - London · 21 May 2016 ·
It's a scary fact but Cancer hits one of us every 2 minutes. When it does, the effects can be devastating. Thankfully, Macmillan Cancer Support is there to help people take back some control in their lives and get people back on their feet. Whether that's one of their nurses to help with the side effects of chemo, or the finance team who deal with benefits claims for someone too ill to work.
As a family, we have had first hand experience of the impact this life-threatening illness can have. However, with the support of the amazing Macmillan nurses every step of the way we felt reassured that we had someone who we could to talk to at any time to help us get through some very tough times.
In light of that, I have decided to push myself to the limits and take part in the Adrenaline Rush, powered by Macmillan Cancer Support.
Although fundraising is not compulsory for this event, every additional pound raised will help us reach more people affected by cancer – £191 pays for a Macmillan nurse for a day.
So this is my plea to all my supportive friends and family out there to kindly dig deep and donate to raise money for this worthy cause. Any donation, large or small, is greatly received. Wish me luck!! :)
