Hamble Lifeboat is an independent Lifeboat Service which has been saving lives since 1968. Based in Hamble, we operate in the central Solent, Southampton water and Rivers Hamble, Test and Itchen. We respond to over 100 Incidents per year. Your donations enable us to keep saving lives.

Story

As founding members of a small team of Sixth Formers, from King Edward VI School, Southampton. We have set ourselves the challenge of circumnavigating the Isle of Wight, by pedalo: a true endurance challenge. We are pleased to announce it is going ahead this week!

With funding from our school’s Parent’s Association to kickstart this project, we have chosen two important charities to support. We plan to raise funds and awareness for these fantastic causes through sponsorship and fundraising events during the run up to the attempt this Thursday! With the attempt in a couple of days we appreciate all your support.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the leading charity funding research to treat the illness in the UK. Over recent months we have been delighted to team up with Tim Wotton, who as an award-winning author, former England hockey player and previous pupil of our school, is one of the oldest survivors of the crippling disease. A story of triumph over adversity.
