Jack Mytton Way Challenge · 28 April 2016

Teens Unite supports young people fighting cancer to live their best life, while others search for a cure. We inspire young people to recognise their potential now and in the future and empower them to live every moment to the full.

Story

Thank you for visiting The QA Counties Challenge and helping to raise money for Teens Unite and Macmillan.

Around two million people across the UK are living with the consequences of a cancer diagnosis, unfortunately this disease seems to touch all our lives and we are keen to help raise money for these two charities who do such a fantastic job to support our family and friends through difficult times.

A small team of us who work across the UK for QA Learning
Services have decided to come together to raise money. Our aim is to cover as many miles as possible across different counties, in various formats of running, swimming, walking or any other modes of travel we can think of.

Our first challenge is taking part in Shropshire with Tessa Swithenby and her chum Caroline Webb who are riding a hundred miles on an old bridle path called the Jack Mytton Way. Nigel, Walter, William and Lux – will also take part, in case you are wondering these are the horses!! They will follow the route which crosses beautiful countryside over a period of five days starting on the 28th April in a little town call Cleobury Mortimer, heading up to Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton the Long Mynd and as far as the Welsh border crossing the River Teme to Lloyney.  We then head back at Roman Bank over the Brown Clee and return to Cleobury Mortimer. The route is split up over 8 separate journeys and if you would like to join us for a couple of hours or couple of days – please contact Tessa on Tessa.Swithenby@QA.com
to get times and meeting places. For more information on the Jack Mytton Way please go to the following website.

We will keep you posted on our progress with pictures and videos and hope lots of riders and walkers (if you can break into a canter now and again) will join us.

SO COME ON – TROT ON - YOUR DONATIONS ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Whilst we are after money and your company – Nigel and the
team are just happy with donated carrots and polo mints.

Once the Shropshire challenge is completed the baton will be
passed onto Diana Mattheou for the Cardiff Half Marathon on 2 legs!
