In honour of Dougie, and to raise funds for a much needed cause, the four of us will be taking part in the gruelling Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon, one of Scotland’s toughest one day events.

On 18th February 2010 a very dear friend of ours, Lt Dougie Dalzell, died on his 27th birthday as a result of an IED explosion in the Babaji area of Nahr-e-Saraj in central Helmand. Dougie served as a lieutentant in the Coldstream Guards during Operation Moshtarak in Afghanistan.

Although we have tragically lost one of the gang, his name will live on in the form of The Lt Dougie Dalzell MC Memorial Trust, which supports soldiers who give so much for their country. Dougie’s main concern was always the care of those who are injured on operation and who consequently pay a high price.Whether you were lucky enough to know Dougie, want to give to an excellent cause, or are simply intrigued by the prospect of us dragging our bodies round Scottish highlands we urge you to sponsor us
