AFK is a disability and neurodiversity charity providing support to children and young people across the UK. We assist young people in accessing specialised mobility equipment that isn't available on the NHS and routes to paid employment in an effort to close the disability employment gap.

Story

Hey everyone,

Oli, Wendy, and Costi from Queenswood Medical Practice, and Andy from Intelligent Exercise are doing an Extreme Challenge quadrathalon, http://www.extreme5challenge.co.uk/, in support of our chosen charity, Action For Kids.

The event will be on July 10 outside London, involving a total of 1.5km swim, 10km kayak, 40km cycle and 10km run, and we need as much money as you can all give, no minimum amount for donations but we hope to reach at least £1000! The proceeds will go to the charity which supports children with physical and learning disabilities, providing modern-day mobility equipment such as powered wheelchairs, as well as at-home support for the families and carers, with the ultimate goal of giving these children back some independence in their lives!

Thanks everyone for the support and we will keep a regularly updated tally at the surgery of how much we have raised up to the big day on July 10!
