Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Hajj season is around the corner, and for those of us not embarking on this extraordinary blessed journey this year, we all still partake in its traditions by being obliged to give a sacrifice if financially able to do so.
On top of this reward, encouragement of giving optional qurbanis is immense. Rasul'Allah (SAW) always used to sacrifice an additional animal and dedicate that to his (SAW) Ummah.
We would like to help revive this tradition of giving an extra optional qurbani and especially help our brothers and sisters who are in dire need. This is a great act of sadaqah in these blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah.
Our intention is that we manage to gather enough money to carry out qurbani of at least one sheep in both Syria and in Palestine, both countries are in desperate need of support. We all know about the problems currently faced by Syria but probably are not fully aware about the restrictions imposed upon Palestine in respect of import of fresh meat and live animal in the West Bank and in Gaza. As a result, it costs £250 to buy a single sheep in Palestine, and £150 to buy one in Syria. This is compared to only £45 in places like India and Sri Lanka.
Please give as much as you can so we are able to cumulatively raise enough money to have at least one animal sacrificed in both Palestine and Syria.
So please dig deep and donate now.
