This June I am part of a team of 7 cyclists who are riding from Calais down to Mont Ventoux in Provence raising money for the Walton Centre Home from Home Appeal. The Walton Centre is a national centre of excellence for neurological work. The Centre is currently beng re-developed and funds are being raised for the fitting out of the Patient Family Accommodation. The catchment area for the Centre covers all the North West and a large part of Wales and patients are frequently hospitalised for long periods. Having onsite accommodation will make a huge difference to the families and to the patients. Two of our team are consultants at the hospital. We will be covering almost 700 miles in 7 days finishing on top of Mont Ventoux which is one of teh legendary climbs from the Tour De France
