Story

WE DID IT!!!!!!!  SO IF YOU WERE THINKING OF SUPPORTING US BUT HADNT GOT ROUND TO IT NOW IS THE TIME!!!

The Royal Air Force Benevolent would support you to hell and back so we thought we'd walk over fire for them!

Gp Capt Gale, Station Commander, and WO Morrell, Station Warrant Officer, together with a team of daring individuals (listed below) from all sections of the Unit and community, are willing to take the most inspirational journey they have ever undertaken and walk bare foot over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees. No tricks, no special effects. Just them and the fire……..

Fire walking has an ancient history with the oldest recorded walk occurring over 4,000 years ago in India when two Brahmin priests were competed to see who could walk further over hot coals. The science behind fire walking is very well proven but let’s face it, physics and facts don’t quite dispel the fear caused by the feeling of intense heat on your face at the edge of the fire pit!

Fear is at the centre of the experience, the fear you feel on the brink of a fire walk is incredible – all of your survival instincts are telling you to stay put. Stay where it’s safe. Don’t take the risk.

But we will all be facing our fears in front of a massive crowd of well wishers on the 1st June 2012 and we hope you will show your support by donating generously!
