The Three Peaks Challenge · 21 June 2013

At Harlington Hospice, we’re here to support those in our community living with serious or terminal illness, and their family and friends. We believe everyone who comes to us should be helped to live each of their days in their own way, to the fullest.

Story

Once upon a time, there was a group of adventurous and determined Rackers who wanted to give something back to the community surrounding our lovely EMEA HQ. It was decided that the 3 Peaks Challenge should once more be undertaken. For those not familiar with the challenge, it is an attempt to climb the highest three mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, including driving time inbetween – a challenge not to be taken lightly as it requires a huge amount of strength, stamina, willpower and pure grit.

Our charity this time is the Harlington Hospice, a local hospice within Hillingdon that provides holistic care for adults with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses in our local borough, as well as supporting their carers. They need to raise a total of £150,000 to keep the hospice going for just one year, so our £7,000 target will make a huge difference to them. Every donation, no matter how small or large, is appreciated!!

Our group of Rackers attempting this not to be underestimated challenge in 2013 is : Alex Kennett, Andrew Wing, Annalisa O’Rourke, Carina Hendrikx, Chantelle van Wyk, Chris Mortimer, Dan Gunn, Di Schofield, Dominic Rees, Inam ul-Haq, Tony Jobson, Kevin Kennedy, Matthew John, Matthew Johns, Maxim Rozin, Oana Gheorghiu, Roberto Valdesogo Bahillo, Hans du Plooy, Tom Owen and Wayne Hooper.

They will be supported by a crack troupe of drivers : Matt Hernandez, Chester Beckett, Hannah Taylor, Sarah Welburn,Christian Ashby, Laura Gil, Ben Paton and Charlie de Courcy.

Training programs and fundraising activities have started in earnest and we look forward to ploughing through the pain and mountains to raise a serious amount of money for a great cause, and are very grateful for your donation.

Thanks,

The RAX 3 Peakers edition 2013!
