THANKS FOR VISITING OUR "TROOP AID" PAGE. DON'T WORRY IT'S NOT TO LATE TO MAKE A DONATION!!
We are members of MIlitary team 325 who have just completed the celebrated Nijmegen March this July.
PLEASE LOOK AT OUR LINKS TO DISCOVER WHAT TROOP AID DOES FOR OUR INJURED TROOPS.
Our team consisted of personnel from 600 & 4626 SQNs RAuxAF, The Army Air Corps & an ATC Sgt! All completed this grueling but enjoyable 4 day 100 mile March!
Waking at 2am the team might wash & breakfast before Marching out of their temporary barracks between 4 & 5:30 am. There were approximately 5,000 military personnel from multiple countries marching in kit, sharing much of the route with 35,000 civillians & countless enthusiastic spectators.
The team were encouraged by their pace stick wielding leader. The team are keen to raise the profile of injured troops. Whilst they receive excellent treatment there is insufficient understanding of the difficulties wounded troops face when flown back to the UK. Troop Aid are a small charity providing basic but much needed necessities to those flown home for overseas with little more than the clothes they were injured in.
Gary one of the team members also has reason to promote the work of Headley Court. He showed fantastic determination to complete the course a little over a year after sustaining a stroke.
