Story

As some of you will know I normally manage an endurance based charity event once a year.  This time I have managed to get a rare (only 250 are allowed to compete) place in the Inferno Triathlon (Switzerland) widely regarded as one of the hardest individual races in the world.  It’s like an Ironman but with mountains.  Please see www.inferno.ch/index.php?page=269 for all the details but in outline it is:

3.1km swim in the glacial lake Thunersee.

97km road bike around Thunersee, through Interlaken, around Brienzersee and over Grosse Scheidegg (1960m).

30km mountain bike in the shadow of the North face of the Eiger and over Kleine Scheidegg (2060m).

25km fell run from the Lauterbrunnen valley to Schilthorn Piz Gloria (2970m) or Blofeld's secret lab from Her Majesty's Secret Service...

All for a very worthy cause and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
