Florence Marathon 2009 · 29 November 2009

We are dedicated to life-changing care at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. King’s provides specialist and local health services to over one million people in South-East London and Kent, as well as critical care. Our work makes innovation, as well as world class treatment, possible.

Story

On Sunday 29th November I shall be running the Florence Marathon in Italy to try and run a marathon faster than I have ever done before.

More importantly I shall be running in memory of Abby Seabrook and to raise money for the neo natal intensive care unit at King's College Hospital in London.

Abby was diagnosed with a congential diaphragmatic hernia 5 month's into the pregnancy. There was and still is no known treatment for this condition. Despite Abby's chances of survival being rated at 50 / 50, she tragically died one day after she was born.

In order to support efforts to find a treatment for this condition and to support the continuing care given by the neo natal intensive care unit at King's College, I would be sincerely grateful if you could sponsor me to run the marathon. Any donation would be so much appreciated by me, Abby's parents and King's College Hospital.

Many thanks for your kind support

Richard
