It's nearly 4 weeks since Kev passed away. Words can't explain how much we're all missing him. Thank you again to everyone who's donated in his memory, it means a lot to know others are thinking of him x
On Sunday 21 October 2012, like thousands of others, Kevin Paterson got up and made his preparations for the Great Birmingham Run. Unlike the thousands of others who took part, Kevin didn’t come home. He collapsed almost as soon as crossing the finish line. Despite receiving the best possible medical treatment immediately, he died. He was 36 years old.
Kevin's wife Katy has chosen Cardiac Risk in the Young as the charity that should benefit from anyone wishing to make a donation in Kevin's memory.

Hi all. We've been quiet for a while as we've been waiting for Kevin's inquest before pushing ahead with anymore fundraising. We'll be sure to update you as soon as we can. Thanks for still thinking of Kev - we miss him so much.
Kevin's funeral is this Friday. It is going to be so difficult, but we want the day to do him justice because he deserves it. Thank you all again for donating in his memory.
We have reached £3000, in no small part due to the generosity of Kev's fellow runners. We don't know what to say, other than thank you. Please spread the word.

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
