Story

Thank you for visiting our page.

We have one simple aim: to raise money and awareness for an outstanding organisation, ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. On the 30th July 2011, soldiers from A Squadron Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry will embark on a triathlon challenge which will require high levels of fitness, determination and teamwork to complete. We plan to cycle, canoe and run 92miles in one day from Stafford through Worcester to Warwick on a Tri-County Triathlon in order to raise vital funds for ABF The Soldiers Charity.

We need all the support that can be given in order to make the greatest possible difference for those whom ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is a vital lifeline. That is where you come in. Please support the troops’ effort on the Tri-County Triathalon by donating to this cause. Every penny counts and can make a tangible difference to the lives of the soldiers and their families who have made enormous sacrifices for their country. For more details of the hugely important work undertaken by the charity, go to this website: http://www.soldierscharity.org/

The Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry is a Territorial Army cavalry regiment, and the local Yeomanry regiment throughout the West Midlands and North West. They work in close cooperation with their regular army Royal Armoured Corps counterparts, with many from the regiment having recently returned from operations in Afghanistan.
