Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I remember being about 10 and watching the London Marathon, and being so impressed by it that I turned to my mum and said I want to do that - she grinned and said that'll be a lot of work - maybe try something smaller.  A few weeks later I ran my first 3 mile fun run, and it's taken over 20 years from that first run to see the ambition realised. Then on 13 April 2014 - I did it - I ran the Virgin Money London Marathon.  My time did not challenge any of the leaders coming in at 5 hours 26 minutes, on what was a tough hot day in the capital.

One of the main highlights of the weekend was being a part of Team Macmillan, the volunteers and staff of the charity supported us and looked after all 900+ runners amazingly well.  So I can only imagine how much more they do for the 2 million people in our country suffering with cancer.  Most of us are or will be effected by cancer and will know of the invaluable work that the Macmillan nurses do.  By sponsoring me you are helping them to continue the work not miles away, but with your own friends and family or people in your own community.

Thank you so much for all your support, please keep sponsoring and lets smash this target to pieces.  Many thanks - Rob
