Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

On Friday, 10 December members from RMT Riders Club will be ‘making their merry way’ to Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester where they will be delivering donations to help ensure that the children in the hospice, and their families, experience the best possible Christmas this year.

Unlike Santa with his reindeer, members from the club will be guided to the hospice on their festive motorcycles. Children and staff at the hospice are looking forward to welcoming, and meeting, the jolly gathering of bikes and biker elves.

Acorns Children’s Hospice does a tremendous job in providing care, short breaks, emergency, and end of life care, to life limited and life threatened children and young people, across the heart of England. These children and young people are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Acorns is currently supporting nearly 600 children and 800 families, including those who are bereaved, and relies on donations for the majority of its income. Their specialist nursing and support services provide a vital lifeline for these families who would face a much tougher challenge coping alone.

By sponsoring RMT you will be helping Acorns continue this vital work which will be so gratefully received over the festive period.
