Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now........

One year ago while I was undergoing radiotherapy treatment for cancer, the idea of a bike ride from Gibraltar back to the UK gave me great strength and enabled me to focus on a firm goal.

On the 21st of August 2011 I headed down to Gibraltar with my cycling buddy John Donoghue to start our 'ROCK2UK' ride. The trip was a tough one with extremely hot weather in Spain and very wet and windy weather during the last days of the ride up through Northern France

After all the help I received with my treatment and recovery I wanted to give something back, 'Cyclists Fighting Cancer' (CFC) has enabled me to do this.

CFC is a charity whose purpose is to provide bikes, adapted tricycles and equipment to children and young people whose lives have been affected by cancer.

You will be able to read about our preparations and progress on the ride itself by going to my blog at#mce_temp_url#

I love cycling and I am positive that it made a big difference to my recovery.....together I am sure that we can make an even bigger difference for children and young people who have been affected by cancer.

Please help me with this really worthwhile cause..........
