Story

It’s an exciting but challenging event, where participants cover between 27-55 miles of the Rob Roy Way through a combination of walking and cycling.

We will set off on foot and walk a distance of seven miles to Checkpoint 1, which is in Aberfoyle

From there, we will continue on foot for a further nine miles, until arriving at Checkpoint 2, which is in Callander

At Callander, our team will switch to bikes, to begin the cycle part of the challenge. The first stage of the cycle is 11 miles, to Checkpoint 3 which is Balquhidder. (At this point, people wishing to have achieved Bronze place will have completed the 27 miles required! )

For those of us who wish to go further than Bronze, there’s a further 11 mile cycle from Balquhidder to Checkpoint 4 which is in Killin. Those reaching Killin will have achieved Silver place and completed 38 miles! Individuals can opt to finish the challenge here, or go the entire distance and go for Gold

To achieve Gold, individuals would leave Killin and cycle the final part of the journey which is 17 miles, finishing in Kenmore.

We are all going to work as a team together on the day. We need everyone to get behind us in the lead up to this event, to help secure the funds to help ChildLine answer more calls, from vulnerable young children. Every penny helps.
