RYA National Pirate Day 2011 is taking place on the 9th July 2011.

RYA Pirate Day is the annual national fundraising day for RYA Sailability, the charity of the Royal Yachting Association, that supports opportunities in sailing for people with disabilities in the UK, and provides advice on training, health & safety, and recruiting volunteers as well as providing vital grants to over 30 sites a year.

How to get involved in RYA Pirate Day

Your Pirate Day can involve any fundraising activities that you want, on or off the water.  This could be anything from a collection tin,  to a treasure hunt, quiz or BBQ, or even a boat park jumble sale.  It’s up to you!  The theme of the day is Pirates but that doesn’t mean you can’t get imaginative in how you fundraise.  The idea is to have fun and enjoy an event that suits you, whilst raising vital funds to support RYA Sailability.  Every donation really helps.
