Story
We are doing the National 3 Peaks Challenge to help two charities. We will be part of a large number of people - teachers, families, pupils (as young as 11) and friends of Vyners School in climbing the 3 highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) over the weekend of 27th to 29th June 2015.
We are helping our school raise enough money to purchase much needed 50 new Chromebooks to use in lessons. The Chromebooks power up in less than eight seconds as opposed to the ageing laptops we have at the moment that can take up to ten minutes. They will also provide an excellent platform for Google Classroom, which is a big push for the school this year.
In addition, 25% of all the money raised will also go to our charity of choice - Asthma UK. At our school we have lost two ex-students to Asthma and we have now learnt that 3 people a day die of asthma. This charity does not get the support as much as some of the other national charities, so this is spurring us on to raise as much money as we can.
Please help us raise our target figure of £300.
Thank you!!
Rachel and Rebecca
