Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Rachael Bates and Nicola Slade.
We are two mums from Saffron Walden who have entered into the 2010 London Marathon in support of MEDICS.
Between us we have six children and have found the time over the past three years to take up running.
We started with a jog/walk around the block and have steadily built up distance over time.
We have completed two 10k races and recently ran the Perkins Great Eastern Run.
We are very excited to be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon supporting MEDICS.
Whilst Medics are across the UK, the funds that you are donating will go to those in Essex. So if you live or travel through Essex you'll be directly helping people in need in areas such as Bishop's Stortford, Saffron Walden, Epping, Chelmsford, Brentwood, Rayleigh and of course at Stansted Airport.
Your contribution will go to give the voluntary doctors life saving equipment such as oxgyen, ventilators, defibrilators, drugs, shock suits and dressings. It costs £22,000 to provide the equipment for just one doctor.
Did you know ... when a 999 call is received, a Medics doctor is sent out.
A Medics doctor's efforts make the difference - so please, give a loved one a chance of survival.
Thank you for your support

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
IF something happened and we weren't able to make the race, the charity would still get the money as someone would run in our place.
So please dig deep and donate now.
