Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking on this challenge and decided to raise money for the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) because Glaucoma runs in my family. For as long as I can remember my Grandfather has had Glaucoma. Sadly his eye sight has continued to deteriorate and his lifestyle has slowly changed as his eyesight became worse. Recently, he is now no longer able to live at home with just my Grandmother’s support and has spent the last 4 months living in a care home. For this reason I wanted to do something which would help support this charity and help people in the future.
The money donated to the IGA will be put towards developing the many services they offer. These services include Sightline (telephone helpline), the website, and running local support groups, open patient meetings and literature distributed free of charge. Money will also be put towards research, helping to develop new treatments and investigate the causes of glaucoma.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you.
