My story
Thank you for popping along to my page :)
As many of you know last year I ran my first 10K for the Race for Life charity. This year I am taking to my trainers again, but this time in Aberdeen, and would like to raise money for a charity that is largely under-represented. Unseen UK are involved in raising awareness of sex trafficking, as well as helping victims return to a life where they can, at the very least, feel safe.
Sex trafficking is an awful crime, that above all, is a breach of human rights and dignity. It is the second largest illegal trade in the world, treating people as commodities that are to be bought and sold - it is slavery at its most degrading level. With up to 800,000 women trafficked into the EU each year, it is a huge societal problem, and one that unfortunately is kept hidden behind the "hushed" curtain of conversation.
If you can give something, however small, to this cause then I am sure that would be a fantastic help. If not then please visit their website and try to make this 'unseen' problem a little more visible.

Unseen helps survivors of human trafficking. Primarily focusing on women who have been bought and sold and forced into sexual exploitation, Unseen raises awareness of the issues surrounding trafficking and provides safe housing for survivors, allowing them the chance to rebuild their lives.
