<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">On 27 November 2010, I gave birth to my baby girl, Leah Mollie. I was discharged from hospital five days later.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The evening I was discharged, I was sitting at home and started to bleed heavily. I was rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital A&E Department. By the time I arrived in A&E I had lost a lot of blood and was critically unwell.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Both the team in A&E, and the obstetric team worked very hard to stabilise me, and I was immediately transferred to theatre.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">After 4 hours in theatre, having tried every attempt possible, I underwent a hysterectomy, a procedure that one done in order to save my life.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Following a stay in ITU, I was transferred to the hospital’s Maternity Unit.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It was here that I spent most of my time recovering. The staff were exceptional. They made my recovery from such a traumatic event a lot easier and more bearable.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">As my daughter turns one, this brings a very emotional time for me. Not only does it bring me the happiness and pride of my daughter turning one, but it also reminds me of the trauma I went through on that night, my birthday, and its resulting consequences.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I know there is no way I can repay the staff in Wythenshawe, in A&E, Theatres, and in the<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>maternity unit, but I hope the following will show them how GRATEFUL I am, and we are, as a family for all their hard work, that night. To them, it may have just been a night’s work, to us, they saved a family.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I am arranging a charity event at my gym, Virgin Active, Didsbury. I intend to do a marathon exercise session, where I do 6 hours of exercise classes back-to-back. These classes are all part of the BTS training system classes, and include; body pump, RPM, body combat, body pump, RPM, body balance, to be done in that order. These classes are very challenging and this event will challenge me significantly.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The event is due to take place on 14 January 2012 at Virgin Active Didsbury.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Please please sponsor me for this event and help me raise funds for the trust that saved my life and allowed me to watch my princess grow into a beautiful young girl!!!!</span></span></p>
