Why am I doing this?

First, I want to support Pilgrim's Hospice as they helped in Andy's last few days by providing amazing care at home for Andy.  They were brilliant and they depend on donations to continue their important work.

Secondly, I've been doing the Couch to 5k programme (C25K on the NHS website: #mce_temp_url#) and have literally started from scratch.  I used to get out of breath running for one minute!  I've just completed week 4 and have managed to run in 5 minute blocks now.  I should complete the 9 week programme a fortnight before this 5k run is taking place.  Doing this 5k run for Pilgrims Hospice is giving me something to aim for to complete the programme.  And I'll have to do it if you are all sponsoring me!

The run takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday 26th October in Canterbury - not long to go now!
