On the 10^th of June, I’ve decided to put Mind over matter (see what I did there) and join in with an iDrop Abseil at British Airways i360 on Brighton seafront. At 131m or 450ft in old money, it’s a long way down!  This is part of a larger team effort with IRLA (our Industry Association) to smash their £10,000 fundraising target for Mind – The Mental Health Charity. I’d be extremely grateful if you’d help us do that by sponsoring me today.

Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem.  Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.  I’m pleased and proud, to be able to support them by completing this challenge.

Hopefully this'll be an exhilarating experience and an opportunity to prove to myself that I can step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself and succeed.  "Do something that scares you", they say, don’t they?! There is also the unknown on what the elements will contribute to the experience… my waiver reads, “..you may be exposed to high winds, cold, driving rain and, in rare cases, lightening.”  Lightening?!  Yikes!  I’m hoping for glorious sunshine. We will be at the beach after all!
